Alternate-Tread Staircase

This, my first staircase in years, is of the alternate-tread design. The front half of each tread is removed on alternating sides, making this very steep stair much more ergonomic to negotiate. It is the best way to have a space-saving stair be comfortable to use. This piece is cherry, with maple balusters.
