accessory furniture that may defy categorization, like table, bed, etc.
The term "Piston-Fit" has long been used to describe the ideal furniture drawer: smooth-sliding and snug-fitting. With such a drawer, however, air pressure builds up in the cavity behind the drawer as one closes it. This piece harnesses that energy for a humorous purpose: as the drawer is closed, the air is ducted through 2 small holes in the top, which causes the wind trubine to spin. Close the drawer faster and the turbine spins faster! See the video on Utube. Search for "Piston-Fit Drawer #1"
After several failed attempts in the past, this is the first music stand I have built. I am pleased with its grace and unique look. The two front legs are of tapered bent laminated construction. The back leg pivots in for flat transport. Height is 42 inches. This stand is not adjustable, but could be built in different heights.
